I have been trying out the Truefitt and Hill product range for over a month now. I enjoyed the shower gel so much that is finished. The shower gel scent it not overpowering. It does not leave bathroom smelling like one has been paddling through fragrance valley. The problem with shower gel that has an overpowering scent is that;  the scent + steam = a perfect recipe for dizziness, nausea and a migraine. The shower gel is quite fresh and subtle, which is great because should you decide to use a different fragrance afterwards you won’t experience the clash of the scents.

The Truefitt and Hill cologne is very masculine and classical, it is not bad and it not amazing. When I saw the package it gave me fragile old man vibes and was reluctant to try it out, but nonetheless I bit the bullet and did best. The cologne has a perfect balance, I rate it can be worn at any age, season and time of day. I have only ever worn it solo and have not layered it with anything else. Because I do not believe there is any fragrance in my collection that would complement it – maybe I should experiment before writing it off.

It is a great fragrance to have in your collection so you can wear it when you want something more aged, woody, spicy, animalistic and leathery that gives off alpha male vibes. When you go to that black tie event or private dining date.

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush Lanches In South Africa

Crazy day after a shoot, I ended up at the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush launch, which was held at LeefSPA. Late as fuck but nevertheless I made it just in time to sit for the last product presentation.

The presentation was followed by more bubbles for the pain, a Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush facial, a Clinique face beat and a feet massage. I was just as grateful for the massage as I was for the feet rub because I had busted my ankle a few days prior – blame it on turnup.

I have been trying out the facial brush at home and these are some of the things you need to know about the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush:

• Dermatologist-developed and engineered by the Swiss.
• It is designed to clean even hard-to-reach areas like the T-Zone.
• It has two bristle types for customised cleansing. The green have a different texture to the white. I am tempted to say the green bristle are tough than the white but do not want to cause the word ‘tough’ feels, sounds and visually conjures TOUGH.
• The brush is super light and sexy.
•  The brush is waterproof.
•  For all Skin Types.
• Do not use the brush together with an exfoliator.
• Be gentle; just be gentle with the brush on your face. Guuurl you aint scrubbing a burnt pot or dirty stoep. Be Gentle. Unless of course…  
• The brush does not tear a single-ply wet tissue – that is how gentle it is.
• The bristles nozzle is detachable and just like your toothbrush should be replaced after every 3 months.
• After 30 seconds of usage the brush automatically stops. So should you!
• One last cool thing; the brush uses a USB charger. Means you can charge on the go (on your computer or mobile charge – do not quote me on this one)

I am still enjoying the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush. Can I see the difference and is that mentioned glow pulling through? not too sure yet, but then again it is still early days, ask me after 2 weeks. BUT can I feel the difference after every use? Absolutely YAAAAAAAS!

Review: Cartier Déclaration L'Eau De Toilette Spray

The Jerri View

I am busy enjoying the new Cartier fragrance Déclaration L’Eau Eau de toilette spray.  The base tone on my skin smells quite potently masculine and the top notes are super fresh and light. A new age Malboro man dipped in the purest of water, is the image your mind should be conjuring right now. The spray nozzle opening-lock mechanic, is quite something to gawk over. If you have a chance, please go in to a Cartier store and check out the bottle, you will be impressed and just might snatch one to go.

Here is an analogy to explain the combination:

Think of it being in a gym changing room after a challenging work out, step in the sauna (musky, woody, dry, body scents) to sweat it all out. Then you take a shower and step outside the gym; then you get hit by a breeze of fresh air that you deeply inhale with your eyes closed - you open your eyes then you smile. Yes that feeling...

Normally I prefer layering my scents but with this fragrance I wear it exclusively as it did not work with any of the fragrance I have already. If you not in to heavy scents for winter this one is for you, although I have a feeling I will enjoy the fragrance even more during summer. Think short-shorts, deep cut racer-back vest, mirror lense sunnies and a splash of Déclaration L’Eau. Yummy!!!

Eau D’arômes, The New Men’s Fragrance By Giorgio Armani

To reiterate the release, the scent is quite masculine, woody but fresh at the same time. I believe it is a perfect scent for winter season. I would suggest wearing it; for an early business meeting, a formal dinner on a chilly night or as an everyday scent for the office if your 9-5, is within the corporate world.

I tried this fragrance out. I was going out at night and I was wearing all-black-everything and wanted a scent that would encapsulate and represent the mysterious black and masculinity therefore to turn up the woodiness of the eau d’arômes. I layered it with Fan di FENDI Pour Homme which is quite spicy, woody and masculine.

When I wore it during the day I wanted the woodiness slightly toned down and freshness to take center stage. So layered with AZZARO Pour Homme – Summer Edition it is a summer fresh woody fragrance but more Mediterranean freshness than woody.  

I preferred the scent on my skin when layered with another fragrance of choice than in solitude besides the fact that layering creates more sensory depth and mystery.
