P.S Beautiful photography and great choice of wardrobe styling opting for the classic look. Blue denims paired with a crispy white freshly pressed smart button down shirt!

Was Miss Zizo not shot with the other girls? Just an observation derived from the apparent difference of backgrounds between hers and the other gurls.

Skip Hosts Another Successful Fashion Exchange

Swap to shop” is the latest craze sweeping the fashionista world.  It’s an ethical, eco-fabulous clothing exchange that Skip has launched in South Africa.”

The second Skip Fashion Exchange took fashion to new heights in Pretoria on Saturday 29 September, when style icon Nkhensani Nkosi took to the stage.  Dressed in a stylish pair of green skinny jeans and a fabulous Stoned Cherri jacket tapered at the waist with exquisite shoulder detail and a stunning collar, Nkhensani set the dress tone for the day.  In the lead up to her talk she treated the 150 guests to an impromptu fashion show of her stunning Stoned Cherri creations including a dress that was airbrushed onto 100% silk!

In her speech Nkhensani presented the basic principles of fashion but emphasised the important of personalising your own rules, ones that work for your body and personality.  Admitting to being nearly 40, which gained great applause from her appreciative audience, Nkhensani stated that one doesn’t need to take fashion too seriously and that first and foremost it needs to be fun and a reflection of who you are!

With champagne flowing and plenty to eat, the excitement in the build up to the actual exchange was palpable as guests eyed out high fashion items that were being registered for the swap shop.

Skip introduced a new colour coded sticker process for registering garments to ensure that everyone swapped “like for like”.  In addition to this, Skip purchased 40 garments to donate into the exchange including a magnificent green dress from Stoned Cherri to the value of R1500.

Although fashion was the key word for the day, guest were also there to have some fun and with DJ Soul Sista on hand playing tunes, there were even some ladies spotted dancing the day away...
The next two Skip Fashion Exchanges which will be taking place on 20 October in Pretoria.  Tickets costs just R120 plus 3 or more items of nearly-new high fashion clothes, bags, shoes or hats to swap.  Each participant receives a goody bag to the value of R300 plus champagne and canapés on arrival and tea and treats in the afternoon.  Tickets are limited so book early by calling Tshia Aphiri on 011-3006700 or emailing tshia.aphiri@ndalomedia.com or visit SKIP
