Design Indaba 2012 | Trend Seminar with Li Edelkoort

Woolworths is pleased to present Li Edelkoort’s Trend Seminars in Cape Town and Johannesburg, in association with Design Indaba.

Li Edelkoort is a trend forecaster, educator, curator and publisher based in Paris. She has fostered design’s creative talent as chairwoman of the Design Academy Eindhoven between 1998 and 2008. And through Heartwear, a non-profit organisation she co-founded in 1993, she has promoted the continued production of artisan crafts from Morocco, Benin, South Africa and India.

In 2005, Aid to Artisans honoured her with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her support of the creative industries and assigned her to the founding board of its European affiliate. In 2008, both the French Ministry of Culture and the House of Orange (the Dutch Royal Family) honoured her with a knighthood.

Internationally acclaimed trend forecaster Li Edelkoort will be in Cape Town and Johannesburg in March 2012 to present a two-part trend seminar, titled “Summer 13 ‘Bliss’” and “House of Textile”.

The Cape Town event will take place on Saturday 3 March 2012 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. At the special price of R499 per person, delegates can enjoy a presentation on both themes.

On Monday 5 March 2012, the trend seminar will move to Johannesburg where Edelkoort will share the same content with a northern audience. The price for the Johannesburg seminar is also R499 per person.
