Media Release: SA Fashion Week 2014 Jameson Select Reserve Official Opening Party

Last night at the party whilst being that guy in a outsized Canadian tuxedo, a beanie, running shoes and stacked Ndebele beads midst all that Jameson Select Reserve, glamour and MUM champagne. I remember thinking to myself; there is awfully a lot of celebrities wearing last season runway collections up-in-here. When I received an email from the PR agency with the 411 this morning, everything made sense. So here is the deal, there were 20 celebrities who were styled and teamed up with some of South Africa’s designer labels (who show at SA Fashion Week of course – although amongst others Pearl Thusi was in a Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Designer - Avant Apparel – fashion politics) to add glamour to the red carpet. By the look of things makeup and hair was also part of the make-them-glam package. What a fabulous initiative whilst it took bread off local celebrity stylists’ mouths I suppose.

I could tell you who was wearing who but I do not have time for that – I need to get ready for a groove tonight. If you are a fashion follower you should know instantly who is wearing whom without being told, if you can’t consider this your first Fashion homework. I do not have credits for the photographer, designers, makeup artists, fashion stylists, hair stylists e.t.c let’s hope next time the PR agency will include all this information with the media release.

Lerato Kganyago Serving Some Realness

OMG these shots give me life! These are some of the words that come to mind whilst looking at these images: Confident, Free, Surety, Sultry, Sexual and Sensual. For their RE: Jeans campaign the guys from Woolworths once asked me what I represent and I answered; I represent: The Fierceness, The Carefrees and The Realness. Lerato’s attitude on these shots represent exactly all those three descriptors I once uttered.
