Stefania Morland & Shana Opens Store in Johannesburg; Blubird Centre in Athol

Stefania Morland is one of the limited South African designers I have encountered and always remember her for her unruffled and friendly personality. Her genuine human quality transpires thick and through the garments that she makes. Her fabrics of choice feel raw and genuine against ones finger tips. The stitching of the garments she produces are reinforced, strong and assuring. Texture and tones in abundance. Most pieces hand embellished by the skilled hand that only takes pride in the work they produce.

No matter where she is, be it in her shops or backstage at fashion week she always has an aura of calmness around her. She will look you in the eyes and listen to you like the words that comes off your mouth are the most profound she has ever heard; casually allowing a faint smile to sip through her lips once in a while.   

I was quite excited to hear that she and her daughter Shana are opening (14 Junes 2013) a store in Johannesburg  called Stefania Morland & Shana and was honoured to be invited for a little bubbly and, cube of cheese and three globes of grapes. I popped in later this evening at their new second store in Johannesburg located at Shop 18A Blubird Centre, Cnr Athol Oaklands and Fort Street, Birnam.

The store is quaint, inviting and stocked with fabulous quality garments befitting for all women who care for local beauty and quality. There is something for everyone. Do the right thing, you are in desperate need of a Stefania Morland in your life darhling!
