Bolivar
For the pleasure of both nostalgics and fans of vintage, le coq sportif
delves into its archives and reinvents its iconic models. A descendent of the
Milos, first launched in 1986, the Bolivar is new this season and takes on the
authentic codes of the running shoe. On a flexible outsole, the slender-shaped
upper is made from nylon for maximum lightweight feel and breathability,
reinforced with suede panels. Available in vintage shades, the trimmings are
contrast colour and logo embroidered for a retro pop feel.
Monge High
This Summer, the Monge comes in a high-top model with outdoor-inspired
eyelets and a quilted collar for optimum comfort. Its canvas and suede
construction conceals an inner wedge heel on a natural rubber sole. It has a
subtle embossed logo on a perforated inlay. This new model stylishly combines
graphic qualities and nods to the brand's sporty heritage, adding a new touch
of fun to any woman's wardrobe.
Monceau Brogue
Le coq sportif surprisingly applies innovation to its historic
savoir-faire with this brogue-inspired model. This cross between a trainer and
a city shoe has a sporty sole with careful details and a leather lining. In
polished leather, each pair is individually treated for a specific effect and
features a finely embossed rooster on the tongue. Polished leather.
Éclat 89
To the delight of
both nostalgics and collectors, le coq sportif is at last re-issuing the Eclat
89, first launched in 1985. Upholding the qualities that give this shoe its
charm, the thick outsole is topped with a heel cushioning embossed with the
words “le coq sportif” and laces up easily thanks to contrast colour eyelets.
In structured mesh, the base is reinforced by suede panels, a textured leather
panel on the heel and a woven stripe inscribed with the Practice logo.
I
am certain you do not need me to tell you how MAJOR trainers and technical running shoes
will be this season right? Please get it right, they need to be fashionable and
trendy. Not necessarily a pair you go running with every morning and take to the gym house for a work out. If you do decide on a pair it must look technical bananas or high performance-chic. I have tried a few Le Coq
Sportif pairs and I am SOLD! That will be my fix, thank you very much!
