Media Release: Gaschette New Faces Model Search 2014

This is the 3rd year that Gaschette will be running their New Faces initiative, and marks the first time that the opportunity is open to both the public AND modelling agencies via a viral social media campaign. Entries are open to any young person under the age of 23 with less than 1 year's modelling experience. Those signed to model agencies in the past year are especially encouraged to enter.

The New Faces Of Joburg project is not a modelling competition, but instead it was created as a platform for young and aspiring models to be noticed by the fashion industry. It serves as a showcase of the hottest young modelling talent available.

Hopefuls are required to share a postcard via the Gaschette Facebook page and then upload their details along with a full length image in the Model Search section of Gaschette's new Design Portal website (T's and C's available HERE). The aim is to expose the campaign to a broader section of the public in order to find the freshest new faces available.

After the initial image upload round, the top entries will be invited to attend a Gaschette New Faces casting round in Johannesburg on 28 March 2014. From there the top 20 New Faces will be selected to be featured in Gaschette Magazine issue 10, which will be released mid-April 2014. Those who make it past the casting round – but who don't already have modelling contacts – will also be given the opportunity to be snatched up by some of the country's top model agencies.

The New Faces of Joburg initiative is a fantastic launch pad for a new model's career. Every year the campaign accumulates a great amount of media attention and Gaschette's selection of New Faces from previous years went on to tackle a range thrilling projects for both local and international clients.

Only two weeks left to enter! Entries close on Sunday 23 March. Enter HERE
